Thank you for visiting our website. The protection of personal data is of particular importance to our tax office. We process personal data in accordance with the applicable legal data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Personal data is any information that allows conclusions to be drawn about your identity, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, IP address, or cookies. As soon as you visit our website or actively send us information, we process certain technical data from your browser (see “Server log files”).

2. Purposes and legal basis of processing

We process personal data in order to:

  • to provide our website technically and ensure system security (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR),
  • to process contact requests and enable the initiation of client relationships (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR),
  • to comply with legal obligations, in particular under the Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG) and the German Fiscal Code (AO) (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

3. Server log files

When you visit our website, our hosting provider IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, automatically processes so-called server log data:

  • IP address of the end device (anonymized, according to IONOS standard),
  • Date and time of access,
  • URL/file accessed,
  • Amount of data transferred,
  • Referrer URL,
  • Browser and operating system used,
  • HTTP status codes.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the stability, security, and functionality of the web system. The data is automatically deleted by IONOS as soon as it is no longer required.

4. Contacting us

If you contact us by telephone, email, or via a contact form, we will process the data you provide solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures).
Data will be deleted as soon as the request has been finally processed, provided that there are no legal retention obligations.

5. Use of cookies

Our website uses technically necessary cookies that are essential for the provision of the site. Further cookies are only set after your express consent.

Legal basis:
– Technically necessary cookies: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR,
– Cookies requiring consent: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

6. Consent management (Borlabs Cookie)

We use “Borlabs Cookie” from Borlabs GmbH, Hamburg, to manage consent for external services and cookies. Borlabs stores only technically necessary information in a locally set cookie (“borlabs-cookie”).

No personal data is transferred to Borlabs.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (proof of consent) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

7. Google Maps (only after consent)

Google Maps is integrated into our website to show the location of our law firm. This service is only loaded after you have given your consent via the cookie banner.

Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Processed data: IP address, device information, browser data, map usage data.
Data transfer: Transfer to the USA is possible. Google relies on standard contractual clauses (SCC) for this.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

8. Embedded services / external content

External content (e.g., maps, scripts, fonts) is only loaded if you have actively consented to this. Without your consent, no connection to external providers’ servers will be made.

9. SSL/TLS encryption

Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in the address bar of your browser and by “https://”.

10. Order processing / hosting

Hosting is provided by IONOS SE. We have a contract with IONOS for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Processing takes place exclusively within the European Economic Area (EEA).

11. Storage period

Personal data is deleted as soon as the purpose of processing no longer applies or there are no legal retention periods. Tax advisors are subject to strict retention obligations under the German Fiscal Code (AO) and the Tax Advisors Act (StBerG).

12. Your rights as a data subject

You have the right at any time to:

  • Information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Objection to certain processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

13. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
